The 2008 Chronology theme is "Sharing Diversity: Faces of the World." Our workplaces and communities are changing. Because of advances in technology, increased globalization and the resulting interconnectedness of people, our world is becoming smaller. We now have the potential to interact with more diverse people than ever before. Our modern world presents positive opportunities for us to learn about people's cultures, values and the world views that make each person unique. MCDC is pleased to display some of the many faces of our world in its 2008 Chronology and to highlight the important differences that each person can offer. MCDC believes that, in recognizing, learning about and valuing differences, only then can one see the similarities upon which one can build an atmosphere of respect and mutual understanding.
